ACID GAS DISPOSAL AND CO2 SEQUESTRATION STUDIES
Acid Gas Disposal and CO2 Sequestration Studies
Since 1994 SCG has been involved in geological studies for acid gas disposal in
Alberta and British Columbia. In the past few years, this work has expanded to include
proposed CO2 sequestration schemes.
Last year SCG provided the geological framework for the W.A.S.P. Project (Wabamun
Area CO2 Sequestration Project) being conducted by the University of Calgary.

SCG is presently actively involved in a two year detailed reservoir characterization for
the H.A.R.P. Project (Heartland Area Redwater Project) being run by the Alberta
Research Council and ARC Resources.
